How to report suspected online fraud in India
Where can I report suspected financial cyber fraud in India?
Contact your bank or payment provider promptly, then use helpline 1930 or the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal. Save your transaction references and relevant messages. A report does not guarantee recovery.
If a suspicious interaction involving a 91club-related page or any other website has put your money or personal information at risk, act promptly. A complaint should describe what happened and identify the exact website or account involved. Do not assume that every page using the same name has the same operator.
Contact your bank or payment provider
Use the verified contact details in your banking app, on your card or on the provider’s website. Describe the transaction and ask about available protective and dispute steps. Do not use a “support number” sent by the person you suspect of fraud.
Preserve useful evidence
Keep the exact URLs, usernames, relevant messages, transaction identifiers, dates and amounts. Save screenshots with context. Do not publish account details, identity documents or authentication codes online while asking for help.
Use official reporting channels
For financial cyber fraud in India, call 1930 or visit the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal. Follow the instructions provided by the official service and retain your complaint reference. Availability and case handling depend on the reporting authority; a report does not guarantee a refund.
The Ministry of Home Affairs describes the national portal and 1930 reporting helpline.
Watch for follow-up recovery scams
Someone may claim to be an investigator or recovery specialist and demand an upfront payment. Verify the organisation independently before responding. Do not disclose OTPs, passwords or payment PINs, or grant remote access in exchange for a promised refund.
See the account safety checklist and 91club information guide.
Evidence checklist before making a report
- Exact website address and the profile or phone number that contacted you.
- Dates, amounts and transaction references from your bank or payment app.
- Messages showing what was promised or requested, with surrounding context.
- Your bank or payment provider complaint reference, if already issued.
Provide sensitive supporting details only through verified official channels. Do not post account numbers, identification documents or authentication codes publicly.
Reporting questions
Does submitting a complaint guarantee a refund?
No. The outcome depends on the facts and the processes followed by banks and authorities. Keep your reference number and follow the official service’s instructions.
Should I pay a person who promises to recover my money?
Do not rely on a guaranteed-recovery promise. Independently verify who is contacting you and be cautious about demands for upfront fees, credentials or remote access.
